- No school work! (Read as: more time to knit)
- A pattern for Dino (Read as: I have goals and follow them, just...)
- A hedgehog who will live with me! This is my favorite point.
- A TON of things to unpack, sort through, then repack before I move to my new home.

Under Construction
So, I heard you heard I got a job. That is correct. I also have an apartment in a tiny town and I sock to finish before my dearest Ash comes to see me! Here are some other things I have (or will have)

Oh so proud!
What's that coming around the bend? It's my finished dinosaur!
In the end, I couldn't get the buttons to work the way I wanted, but I'm going to keep experimenting.
I'm so happy with how he turned out, and that things worked the way I wanted to! I want to make a girlfriend for him :B
So, go team USA, and go me for finishing the hard part of this trial! Now, test knit and write the pattern!
Of course, here's the obligatory shot showing how big the doll actually is. Gosh, I need to clean my desk! Of course, that will be easy seeing as... I got my dream co-op! I'm moving out of my dorm room on Thursday!

Winter Knitting Olympics
So, I don't know if you know about this, but the Yarn Harlot is hosting the 2010 Knitting Olympics. Hehe! I decided to participate, despite the enormous amount of work I have to do, with the quarter ending and all. Oh well! My goal is this: to knit and write the pattern for one of the designs that's been in my head for a while: T-Rex! So, root for me, because if I complete my goal and get that shiny metal button for this blog, ya'll get another free pattern :) I'm going to cast on around 7 tonight, during the RHA Valentine's Day Dance. I'll be multitasking.
Anyone doing anything super fabulous? I'd like to know!

What's new? Ahhhh!
I'm sorry about not posting so much. I've been busy with the end of the quarter at school, and homework, and hedgehogs. I have been knitting, though, whenever my hands are free!
I made 5 baby hats in the past week as part of RIT Hooks and Needles. We're collecting them and going to Rochester General after the break, to give them to the neonatal unit! I'm so excited, because this community project has been so well received - a lot of members have learned how to decrease, and knit in the round, to help out with this. So far, we have about 20 hats, but I know I'm planning on beasting out a few more: they only take about an hour and a half to make!
I'm also working on two projects for the Hooks and Needles pattern book, Bella gloves for my friend from highschool, and Ashley's socks... STILL.
What's even harder is the fact that I have so many things that I want to make, but no time! And, spring break is coming up fast, and I meant to come home with knitting things for my family and friends... uh-oh!
How are you with knitting for others? Whenever anyone asks me, I always make sure to say "Just so you know, there's a waiting list!"

Happy Hedgehog Day!
Yes, that's right, the length of our winters was originally predicted by hedgehogs! During Roman times, in fact! Actually, I don't think people believed in it, even back then... but at least you got to see a cute hedgehog nose, right.
I'm celebrating with some older pictures of baby girl, before she went to her new home! She's happy and healthy, so is her brother :) I'm so proud. Anyway, enjoy.

Oh, and about knitting... yeah. I'm working on things. I promise.

FLCL Hat
I know, I know, it's been a while since I posted a pattern up! Here it is.
I go to RIT, home of a lot of anime fans. One of my friends on floor was talking to me one day and the subject of knitted cosplay came up. What would I make? Oh man, Naota's hat from FLCL! And thus this was born. A good gift for the FLCL fan in your life, or just someone who likes their ears warm.

Happy New Year!
So, this picture is all of my knitting projects from 2009... WHAT? REALLY? I only did 12 things!? It felt like way more than that... Whoa. Well, it makes sense I guess, because I didn't include a few projects that I didn't have pictures of or didn't feel like posting.
For history's sake, I'll label the pictures.
I have a lot of goals for 2010- It's gunna be big!
What are your 2010 goals?
For history's sake, I'll label the pictures.

Second Row: Kitten Mittens, Bird One and Bird Two, Intertwined Leaves Socks
Third Row: Jaywalker socks for Warren, Octopus for Ben, A hat that I have since given to my mother, and Knucks with christmas trees on them.

I have a lot of goals for 2010- It's gunna be big!
1. Make Hooks and Needles more awesome- which will be hard :P I know we're working on a pattern book, which will be awesome!
2. Work on some more original designs. I started strong that the beginning of the year, but I feel like I straggled when school started. I still have a hundred and ten ideas, but I just need to get it done!
3. Of course, maybe make something for myself... I got very close at the beginning of school, when I made a simple hat to wear to class. Then my mom coveted and I gave it to her over Thanksgiving break. Not that I'm bitter! She wears it everywhere!
4. And of course, try to stay on the topic of Knit Amigurumi...
