Contestable!

So, I know I've been fairly negligent with this blog, but I figured I'd celebrate my return from Europe with a contest. The winner will get a nice package of goodies that are set for debut in my etsy shop in late August. I won't tell anyone if you won't.

The rules are simple. Below are several photos from my vacation, featuring my feet. Simply post a comment with your guess as to where my feet are on the journey.

To make it easy, here's my itinerary (Keep in mind that I got this idea during the trip, so a concentration of photos are in one country.)

Day 1: Fly into Athens.
Day 2: The Acropolis and Ancient Athenian Forum
Day 3: The Forum at Corinth and Mycenea
Day 4: The Temple of Posiedon and the Agean Beach
Day 5: The Temple of Demeter, Fly into Rome
Day 6: The Roman Forum, Coliseum, Pantheon
Day 7: The Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Saint Peter's, The Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps

To make it even easier, you can have more than one set of guesses. The first person to guess correctly where every photo was taken wins!

Good luck!

So Now I'm Back... From Outer Space...

Hopefully you aren't too sad, haha.

Anyway, I'm back from my trip to Greece. I've got ideas, souvenirs, and gumption to work harder on the job I took two weeks of from, and to prepare for college, which is so close int he future (closer than I want to.)

I've been retrospective lately, but I'm scrambling to do some paperwork and course planning for this week. I want to have a nice contest tomorrow, so see you then!

Such a Horrible Blogger

So, I've been a little busy. My camera's lost,

I had my brithday,

and my birthday party,

and not much crafting.

Worldliness Buffets the Stronghold of Truth

I graduated on Friday from my high school!
First stop was a local park that has a famous carousel.
Then we went to Cornell University, where they gave us the whole Rec Center. . . or whatever that big building with bowling alley, pool, gym. . . everything is. It was amazing!

And last night I went to the boyfriend's sister's house, ate the above brownie cakes, watched fireworks, and played with sparklers.

(There's two hearts! The one below is easy to see, but can you see the heart in the above picture?)

But yes, I am knitting and stuff. . . I'll keep you all posted.

Senior Tripiness

Sooo, Guess where I've been?

NO, not slacking off and being lazy. Even though um, there was some of that.

I went with my senior class to Hershey Park! It was a ton of fun. Anyway, I promise I'll post more of my crafting when I get more done!

Photograph Your Day Day!

Okay, so. . . the point of this post is to recap my day in photos. There are a lot of pictures, so, be
happy I didn't do anything more.

I woke up this morning at my sweetie's house. We hung out for a while. He checked his email. I knitted and watched TV.

The knitting, btw, is a surprise.
Anyway, He had to go to work. . . so off we went.

We stopped and got Burger King.

But eventually we had to drop him off.

And we drove. . . .

And drove.

There was a bit of driving, but eventually I made it to my mom's house.

I posted on this blog, and swooned over new alpaca yarn. <3>

I waited for my dad to come pick me up, I played Xbox . . . . with my cat.

Then I went home and did some crafty work.

Like cutting doll parts

And watching Indie and chatting.

Then, I made a breakthrough A. Break. Through.

I called Sweetie and told him of the finish-ness that is the back of his kimono. He was pleased.

I also finished something cute to be stocked in the shops later.

And now I'm too tired to take any more pictures. So I'm going to curl up on my couch and sleep.

I'm going to rest on the laurel of this milestone.

Pie Pie! Oh, and Photograph Your Day Day (Intro)

To start, Today is "Photograph Your Day Day." Expect a post tomorrow about how I photographed my day. Um, other than that, I need to tell you an amazing secret.

It's called "Pie Pie." It's from the anticraft. Cook it and be amazed, mortals! I think that maybe the gods ran out of ambrosia, and thus invented this wonder. It took FOREVER to make, but I believe it was well received by everyone involved, and thus I deem it a success.

So, yeah, check it out!

This pie went to sweetie's with me, I'm particularly proud of the chocolate design. I ate it last night :3

This pie stayed at my mom's, to be eaten today.Actually we're going to be cutting it any minute now! Hullah!

Baby's First Art Installation

Okay, so once again, nothing to do with knit amigurumi, everything to do with me! I had my first art show last Thursday! Super exciting, right? I know, you're all on baited breath. Anyway, here's a bunch of pictures! Huzzah!
The display was a freestanding board that people could walk on either side of. Most of my works were photos, which I'm really proud of. They were in the paper, too! (Local section um, of course. . . )
Any first place too! Hooray!
Oh, did I mention my display was interactive!? Well, it was. There was writing on it encouraging people to write whatever they wanted. I was hoping for drawings, quotes, you know, artsy things. I got some really cool stuff, but most of them were really nice notes about the display and about me! It was really cool!
I caught these girls signing their names on the board, along with some flowers and a snail. Another little boy wrote the alphabet. Adults sort of thought my installation was wacky, and teens put a lot of words (which I still liked, but I liked what the little kids put the best!)

The only thing that I didn't really finish was this chair for art class. It's based on "Riding Couple," a barely known painting by the well known Kandinsky. (I really love Kandinsky. If I could collect every work from any artist and put it in one gallery, it'd be Kandinsky. That's a good question. Feel free to discuss.)

Anyway, I promise something more interesting will come later, okay?

Spring is Springing!

I've been cooped up inside for the past week, and today I stepped out and look what I saw! A budding leaf! Looking up, I noticed that the maples in my backyard had LEAVES!

Green isn't the only color. The bleeding heart that grows on the side of my house has bloomed beautifully.
And on top of that, I have new neighbors! An anthill has sprouted up in my backyard.

The days are long and the nights are warm! It's time for some nice spring knitting!

Happy Easter!

I know I haven't posted much lately, but that doesn't mean I'm not doing things, right? The story is, the power cord on my laptop is SHOT. I mean it, totally. At first, I thought I could fix the problem with some electric tape, but that proved utterly futile. So, we sent off the cord to a friend who had to order the part. TORTURE. Until then, I can't really do much. My life was on that machine.

Anyway, I got some really awesome easter loot from both the Sweetie's family and my mom. I'm really excited-- all this candy is going to last me until Halloween, I'm sure.

As for crafting, I've started a scarf for my mom's birthday. It's supposed to be a total secret, but I think she's on to me. I need to knit it up REALLY quick, because her birthday is the 28th. Such a late start, I know, but I had trouble finding the right yarn. Finally, I had to settle for a crappy ball of Vanna's Choice. It made me so mad, because I really wanted to follow the pattern exactly!

Oh, I also bought some fabric for a skirt, and some nice ribbon! Expect to see the ribbons in the etsy shop. . . when it opens.
